1)Download the latest MagMap2000 software from our site.

2) With the Keyspan connected and Win 7 drivers loaded, right click on My Computer and then left click on Properties.  Click the Device Manager tab or button.  Click on the Ports (COM and LPT) tab and identify which COM ports have been assigned to the Keyspan converter, typically 4, 5, 6, and 7.  Note the red light should be on on the Keyspan converter.

3) Then open MagMap2000 (version 4.9) and click Import, G-856 button and then OK. Select the Com Port window and then assign the first COM port as per the Device Manager (e.g., COM 4).

4) Then plug the 856 into the PORT 1 on the Keyspan device.  Start the download. When the data is transferring the green light should flash on the Keyspan channel 1.
